George Soros Makes Clumsy Investments in Gold Related Stocks

According to multiple sources, George Soros a well-known billionaire, recently invested money into gold and gold mining stocks in a very clumsy manner. He took a long break from the trading market and recently made a reappearance.

Unfortunately, the large investment does not look good on the Soros Fund Management Corporation, which is known to manage more than $30 billion for his family. 

This trade is being frowned upon by many traders who are on his level, but Soros claims that with the economic crisis in America becoming more likely, the gold investments will bring his family a handsome return. This is not the first time that the billionaire has made trades that were frowned upon by his peers. In the past, he has made what they consider to be very foolish investments. However, each of these brought a hefty return, including his bet against the value of the British Pound, which lead to over a $1 billion in profits.

Soros Role in His Company

George Soros has always been noted to involve himself in company investments. There have been incidents in the past where employees have mildly complained about how he made himself a well-known member of the decision making process when it comes to the investments that his company makes.

It has been noted that in recent years, Soros has not been an active investor in the company and has not made personal investments in a number of years. In early 2016, he made his way back to his desk at the company, ready to invest and bring in additional profits for his family.

Because George Soros has been away from the investment table for so long, some people may not know exactly who he is. However, Soros has been an active philanthropist since the early 1979. He is the founder of the Open Society Foundation, which as a presence in more than 100 countries, worldwide. Each year this foundation uses more than $835 million to promote its values, which are focused ensuring human rights in developing nations.

Soros has written more than 12 books and is well known for publishing essays on economics, politics, and society. He has contributed to numerous newspapers and prominent magazines throughout the world.

Through the years, George Soros has made a name for himself for making risky investments. While some of the investments he makes do not pan out, the ones that he has predicted right have brought him a massive amount of profit.
